V V has just released the promo video for ‘Shift’, the incredible first single from her new album. ‘Shift’ is an electrifying, techno-influenced call-to-arms for a disaffected generation, with its feet firmly planted on the dance floor. The song is available now on streaming platforms.
‘Shift’ was written and produced by V V (formerly V V Brown) alongside up and coming producer Nearly Native, whom V V discovered on Soundcloud last year. The pair went on to write and record V V’s new, third album.
The video for ‘Shift’ is exactly how we imagined it when first listening to the track – a nightmarish world thought up as a result of too many viewings of Martyrs and The Descent, and a vision experienced as if running through jelly.
‘Shift’ had recent support on the Phil Marriott’s Voltaic show, and Phil has already hailed the track as his favourite pop single of the year. It’s easy to see why.
