Pet Shop Boys have just released their brand new studio album ‘Super’ on x2 Records.
The album was produced by Stuart Price and follows the success of 2013’s ‘Electric’, their highest-charting album in the UK and US for 20 years.
‘Super’ was written in London and Berlin and produced and mixed by Stuart Price in Los Angeles. It features 12 new Tennant/Lowe compositions including the lead single, ‘The Pop Kids’. ‘Super’ is available on CD, vinyl and digitally.
The album track listing is:
Happiness
The Pop Kids
Twenty-something
Groovy
The dictator decides
Pazzo!
Inner sanctum
Undertow
Sad robot world
Say it to me
Burn
Into thin air
The first single to be released from the album is ‘The Pop Kids’, a classic PSB anthem which evokes the London club scene of the early 90s.
Pet Shop Boys have also confirmed a residency of four very special, sold-out concerts at London’s Royal Opera House on July 20, 21, 22, 23. Entitled ‘Inner Sanctum’, the concerts will be the only opportunity to see this brand new, site-specific Pet Shop Boys show which is being staged by long-term PSB designer Es Devlin and choreographer Lynne Page.
