Phil Marriott is currently a presenter and Head of Music at Gaydio – the world’s biggest LGBT dance and pop radio station.
He started his radio career in 1997 at Radio Victory in Portsmouth, later moving on to work for a long list of radio stations such as alternative rock DAB & DTV station Q Radio, Virgin Megastores Radio, Impulse Live!, and award-winning LGBTQ dance station GaydarRadio.
Currently you can hear Phil presenting a regular weekly show on Gaydio (Sundays from 11:00 GMT). He also produces a weekly dance mix show called In Session.

Gaydio is the world’s biggest LGBTQ dance and pop radio station. Phil joined the station in December 2013 as their Head of Music. Phil also has two shows on Gaydio: a weekly DJ mix show In Session and Gaydio Anthems.
During his time in radio, Phil has hosted hundreds of celebrity interviews. He spoke to dance trio Above & Beyond before their performance at the 2016 South West Four festival, and Fatal Attraction actress Anne Archer during her run of The Trial Of Jane Fonda at London’s Park Theatre.
In 2014 Phil chatted with Sinead ‘O Connor about her album, I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss, and had a 30-minute chat with singer-songwriter Tori Amos. Phil also interviewed the late George Michael (in 2012), Ellie Goulding, Ella Eyre, Dolores O’Riordan from The Cranberries, Kesha and Boy George. Other guests have included Billie Ray Martin, Paul van Dyk, Sarah Millican, Culture Club, Erasure, Imogen Heap, Ella Eyre, Kiesza and Tove Lo.
GaydarRadio was a British digital radio station for the LGBTQ community and was available on DAB multiplexes in London and Brighton as well as online. Phil was GaydarRadio’s Head of Music, and he also presented the evening show, promoting the best upfront dance and pop anthems. He also presented and produced the weekly mix show, Club Nation every Friday night. During his time at the station, GaydarRadio won Digital Commercial Station of the Year at the 2008 Arqiva Awards. The award was presented by Tony Blackburn.
Back in December 2008, Phil was enlisted by ex Top Of The Pops producer Ric Blaxill to boost and refresh the evening output by presenting the revamped Moon Safari and Q Countdown shows.

Phil presented and produced Win FM’s flagship Breakfast Show. He managed outside broadcasts and appearances at local events, and liaised with clients on getting the best results from advertising. Phil also trained new radio presenters in order to help them get a feel for the station’s procedures and guidelines, as well as creating ideas for promotions on air. He also managed the launch of Dream 107.2 in Winchester on Friday 5th October 2007.
